SONY EXPANDING PC BUSINESS
Sony has released Sony-exclusive titles in the last few years, such as God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn on PC.
It has been a welcome change from a company that has previously refused to publish its games on other platforms for fear of losing PlayStation console sales.
Fortunately for all of us, Sony is expanding its PC publishing label and is hiring a senior director of PC planning and strategy at PlayStation Global.
The job listing states that the person hired will be responsible for “strategy and commercial activity within Global Channel sales” and “PC sales growth.”
Sony’s move to hire a new senior director of PC planning and strategy has people purring at the thought of more PlayStation games arriving on PC.
If Sony does start adding more titles to PC, it will be fascinating to see if they create their own launcher or publish them on Steam, Epic Games, or even Xbox Game Pass.
