Whoever EA hired to take the lead of Battlefield 6’s marketing should get a raise because it. is. WORKING. From the reveal, the frequent announcements, and even the alleged controlled leaks, the fans at this point are not short of excitement. And with the game launching next week, EA just dropped its live action trailer that, whether you’re a fan or not, made everyone giggle.

 

Battlefield 6 Live Action Trailer Was a Message To Call of Duty

We are on the final 2-week stretch before Battlefield 6 releases on October 10th. We’ve seen multiple gameplay trailers, features trailers, behind-the-scenes, and so on, but little did we know, EA has one more stunt to do before launch.

The Battlefield 6 Live Action Trailer dropped over the weekend with your usual gunfight, explosions, and intense combat. It was as exciting as expected but it’s definitely headlined by starring famous personalities like Zac Efron, basketball player Jimmy Butler, Paddy Pimblett from UFC, and even country singer Morgan Wallen representing the different classes in the game.

   

What looks like a “signature” Call of Duty ad featuring big names ended differently. EA had a different plan: blow them up. Then while people were in shock, the soldiers that emerged continued, “Who was that?” “Doesn’t matter.” Let’s move.”

Any fan of the genre and anyone following the almost head-to-head launch of these two know that this was a diss at Call of Duty. EA and Battlefield Studios humorously implies that they mean business. Of course nothing “official” will come out but the message was clear. To be fair, even with COD at the receiving end of it, this trailer did publicity for both launches.

Battlefield 6 is launching on October 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
