Slime Rancher 2 (SR2) is the new chapter in the first-person life sim and farming series by Monomi Park. A small development team that debuted with the first chapter in 2017. Slime Rancher 2 – Official Launch Date and Console Debut Confirmed
Monomi Park finally brings some fantastic new updates on Slime Rancher 2. In a news release on 29 July 2025, the team announced the official release date for the second chapter. Finally confirming its exit from Early Access and its debut on Console for 23 September 2025.
Accompanied by the Official Trailer that takes us into the new life sim adventure of farming and slimes. Where we’ll follow the young Beatrix LeBeau as she explores Rainbow Island. A new island full of secrets and mysteries. And of course, lots of new Slimes to find and capture! It will also be debuting on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Slime Rancher 2: Version 1.0 and the Latest News
With Version 1.0 bringing the most important Update to SR2. The team confirms the return of Drones with a Quantum twist. But also a series of new gadgets and upgrades and new areas to explore. Taking us into the heart of the Grey Labyrinth and a race against time to save the island. Also celebrating the game’s third anniversary.
With the release date announcement, we also have confirmation of a Physical version of SR2 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
