After a couple of months of waiting, MGS Delta Snake Eater finally added an online multiplayer mode as promised. Konami announced today that the much-awaited game mode ‘Fox Hunt’ has now gone live. And the best part? it’s free!
Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Goes Online with New Game Mode ‘Fox Hunt’
Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater officially launched on August 28, 2025 for PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It was supposed to launch with both offline and online modes but shortly before it was released, Konami announced that the online functionality will be delayed to Fall 2025.
Fast forward to today, that has finally come to life. Fox Hunt, the game’s online multiplayer mode, is now officially live. This comes as part of version 1.2.1 which also includes support for 21:9 aspect ratio display, customization of camera distance when playing New Style, view of system environment, and the usual bug fixes.
So what exactly can players expect from Fox Hunt? According to the official announcement, it will have 2 game modes under it: Survival Capture and Survival Intrude.
Survival Capture pits players against one another in a race to secure the elusive Kerotan frogs scattered across the map. As the match progresses and the number of targets dwindles, tension rises and close-quarters clashes become inevitable.
Survival Intrude, on the other hand, demands control and endurance. Players must defend shrinking zones while navigating an increasingly hostile battlefield. Both modes push teamwork, strategy, and stealth to the limit, staying true to the series’ tactical roots.
Up to 12 players can engage in intense, skill-driven matches enhanced by the new AT-CAMO suit and Naked Sense systems.
Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Fox Hunt is now available to all players and can be found in the main menu.
