Insomniac Games just lit up the Marvel fandom with a single sentence. If you’ve been paying attention to the clues in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, you know exactly where this is going.
We’re finally getting some movement on Marvel’s Wolverine, and it looks like Logan might be needing some legal representation. And let’s be honest, considering how he solves problems, he definitely needs a lawyer.
The “Fancy Lawyer Lingo” Tease
Insomniac Games took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a cryptic image of Wolverine extending his signature adamantium blades. But it wasn’t the image that set the internet on fire—it was the caption:
“‘Claws?’ What’s that, some kind of fancy lawyer lingo?”
It’s a top-tier dad joke—playing on “claws” versus “clause.” But in the Marvel universe, you don’t drop a line about lawyers unless you’re talking about one specific person.
Fans immediately flooded the replies with GIFs of Charlie Cox. We’re talking about Matt Murdock, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen himself. The tone here is perfect. It implies Logan is already in trouble (shocker) and is likely dismissing someone trying to help him out legally.
The dynamic between a feral, grumpy mutant and a composed, blind lawyer with super-senses? That is a narrative goldmine we need to see.

Connecting the Dots: It’s Been a Long Time Coming
This isn’t coming out of nowhere. Insomniac has been breadcrumbing Daredevil’s existence for years. Remember the “Nelson & Murdock” sign in the first Spider-Man?
Then came the drama in Spider-Man 2 where the sign vanished, was replaced by an eviction notice, and then mysteriously patched back in. At the time, creative director Bryan Intihar told fans to “stay tuned.” Well, it looks like the signal is finally coming through.
There were also in-game nods to Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk) potentially starting a firm with Murdock, plus locations like Fogwell’s Gym appearing in the city. Insomniac has built a living New York, and it makes total sense that their version of the Marvel universe is about to get a little wider—and a lot grittier.
With Marvel’s Wolverine slated for the latter half of 2026, this crossover could be the hook that bridges the gap between the Spidey games and Logan’s solo outing.

Marvel’s Wolverine: What We Know
We’re still looking at a release window late in 2026. While the studio suffered a massive data breach back in 2023 that leaked early builds, the team has kept their heads down and pushed forward.
From a buyer’s perspective, this is the time to start tracking the hype cycle. Sony exclusives don’t drop in price quickly, but tracking pre-order bonuses and edition differences closer to launch is key. If Daredevil is a major supporting character—or even playable—expect the marketing machine to lean heavily into that “Team Red” dynamic.
Verdict: The Perfect Counterbalance to the Claws
Spider-Man games are about soaring above the city; Wolverine needs to be about the dirt beneath it. Throwing Daredevil into the mix confirms Insomniac understands this shift.
We need a character who literally navigates by sound and brawls in grim alleyways. This potential team-up isn’t just cheap fan service; it’s a promise that the story is going to be grounded, rough, and morally gray.
Daredevil offers the perfect “Lawful Good” friction to Wolverine’s “Chaotic Neutral” energy. If the writing is as sharp as Spider-Man, their banter alone will be worth the price of entry.
Do you think we’ll actually get to play as Daredevil, or is he just there to bail Logan out of jail?
