Is MENACE Still Launching on PC Game Pass Today?
MENACE, the turn-based tactical RPG from Battle Brothers devs, launches Feb 5 in Early Access and was previously announced for PC Game Pass.
There’s quite a few good launches this month and one of them is MENACE. This upcoming turn-based tactical RPG from Overhype Studios recently passed the 500k wishlists so although it’s not as big as Nioh 3 and High on Life 2, it’s become one of the much-awaited games for February.
Considering that it came from the studio which brought us Battle Brothers, plus gave us a great demo (which is still available on Steam), the excitement is far from doubtful. This is especially true for Game Pass members as the team announced it will launch on PC Game Pass under the Game Preview program.
However, the game was omitted from the official wave 1 announcement.
MENACE Early Access Launch Today
So let’s get the facts straight first. Hooded Horse and Overhype Studios announced that MENACE will launch in Early Access/Game Preview on February 5, 2026 for PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, and PC Game Pass.
Then Microsoft posted its Xbox Release Date Announcement Trailer on their official Youtube account captioned, “MENACE is coming to PC Game Pass on February 5th!.” They even replied to comments of excitement about its inclusion in the subscription service. So there was no question that it was coming to the platform.
But then when the Game Pass wave 1 lineup was revealed, it wasn’t there. If there was any overlooked part, Xbox normally adds an Editor’s Note but even after more than 24 hours from the reveal, still no addendum.
Some speculate that maybe they’ve stopped including Game Preview titles in the announcement but that’s not the case. Starsand Island, which is also an early access game, was in the list. Also, its Xbox page has the “Coming Soon to PC Game Pass” tag, while MENACE does not. That part was very odd.
It would have made sense if the game was delayed again but Hooded Horse confirmed its launch today, even publishing its global release time, set at 6AM PST / 9AM EST / 2PM GMT / 3PM CET.
No one knows for sure if it is still launching on Game Pass today, but there’s no retraction of the fact and really, no reason why it would not. Xbox did announce it themselves. So more likely than not, it would.
