007 First Light Official Game Reveal on June 6th at Summer Game Fest 2025

007 First Light (007-FL) is the new game in development by the IO Interactive team. A Danish development team, mainly known for the Hitman series, but also for Kane & Lynch. It’s a new third-person adventure with MindsEye, releasing on June 10, 2025.

First Light was first announced in 2020. Offering a new original adventure for the famous secret agent. With the development confirmed during the April 2025 Nintendo Direct, confirming it will at least be released on Nintendo Switch 2. 007 First Light appeared during the April 2025 Nintendo Direct dedicated to Nintendo Switch 2, and the IO Interactive team has some news to share. In fact, two months after confirming the game at least for Nintendo Switch 2, the team is revealing the imminent game reveal.

The reveal will happen this week, in the first week of June 2025. Finally revealing what this original adventure of the famous secret agent James Bond will bring. The official website for the game will open on June 2, 2025, with the first IO Interactive Showcase at Summer Game Fest 2025, where the title will be presented.

What We Know About 007 First Light and the Reveal at Summer Game Fest 2025

The first announcement of the game came in 2020 from IO Interactive, in collaboration with MGM Studios (acquired by Amazon in 2022) and Eon Productions. Offering an original adventure in which we’ll discover how the Secret Agent earned his 00 status. The game is based on IOI’s Glacier Engine. And it’s confirmed that Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the Bond franchise, are involved.

The game is currently confirmed at least for Nintendo Switch 2, after the confirmation in the April Nintendo Direct. The IO Interactive team will officially present the game at its first IOI SHOWCASE, during the Summer Game Fest. The presentation is confirmed for Friday, June 6, 2025.
