CarX Street is a popular open-world racing game that offers a realistic driving experience and a vast array of customization options. It was initially released as a mobile game in 2022 and has now made it to PC via Steam, officially releasing on August 29, 2024.
CarX Street Launch and Post-Launch Details
CarX Street is finally out on PC! And for those who played it on mobile before, playing the PC version offers better graphics, increased rewards, and you can expect no microtransactions within the game. Plus, the PC version supports not only controllers but steering wheels also.
One of the most popular inquiries about the game though is about crossplay between PC and mobile. To this, the devs have stated that it does not support it and has currently no plans for it. What is in the plan, however, is the console version. Actually, it’s not just a plan as they are now working on it and estimates that the base work for this version would be done by the end of the year.
While there was much excitement for the CarX Street PC launch, it quickly disintegrated as the game faced some crashes and technical issues. These were fixed immediately with the devs releasing CarX Street PC 1.0.1 a few hours after launch and issued a statement/reminder that one of the system requirements is an SSD. Installing it on an SSD significantly improves the game’s overall performance.
