Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Beta Extended New Map and Double XP Just Before Battlefield 6 Launch
With the Beta currently running, the team at Activision has decided to extend the Beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, adding a new map and 2X XP as Bonus.
A Tactical Move Before Battlefield 6’s Launch
The battle has started even before the official release day. Activision has announced a 24-hour extension for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 open beta, pushing the end date to October 9 at 6 PM (CEST). This clever move overlaps the beta period with the highly anticipated launch of Battlefield 6, scheduled for October 10.
This extension gives players an extra day to dive into all the new features of the beta — perfect for those who haven’t yet tried the revamped Zombies mode or tested the new multiplayer maps.

A Beta Boosted by New Content and XP Rewards
In a post on the official Call of Duty blog, Activision expressed its excitement about the community’s response:
“The reactions to the Black Ops 7 beta have been incredible so far! Whether you’re using nuclear weapons in multiplayer or fighting through intense Zombies matches, we’ve had a blast playing with everyone.”
As a thank-you gesture, the publisher added:
“On behalf of everyone at Treyarch, we’re truly grateful for your feedback… and speaking of that, we heard you might want a bit more — so we’re extending the Black Ops 7 beta until 9 AM PT on Thursday, October 9!”
Alongside the extension, a new map called Toshin joins the multiplayer rotation, and players can now enjoy double XP for the remainder of the beta. The goal: help everyone reach level 30, test every weapon and gadget, and unlock a variety of attachments and overclocks before the beta ends.
Anti-Cheat Reinforcements and a Head-to-Head Rivalry
On PC, the beta remains locked behind TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements — measures that Activision claims have significantly reduced cheating. According to the publisher, “97% of cheaters in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 were detected within 30 minutes of joining the beta,” and “less than 1% of cheating attempts resulted in an actual match.”
The timing couldn’t be more strategic. By extending the beta just before Battlefield 6’s release, Activision directly fuels the rivalry between the two FPS giants — teasing fans with an intense taste of what’s to come this fall.
