ASKA is an action-adventure with simulation elements where you build a self-sustaining Viking tribe. You’ll need to gather resources, craft tools and weapons, build structures, and fight off enemies while managing your growing Viking population.

The world of ASKA is procedurally generated, which means it’s different every time you play. There are secrets and wonders to discover as you explore and expand your settlement.

How to play ASKA Demo?

Lead your tribe ahead of its Early Access release and start playing ASKA today with its first public demo. The devs announced that it is taking part in the Steam Open World Survival Craft Festival which will run from May 27 to June 3, 2024. The event starts at 6pm BST / 7pm CEST.



If this week is quite busy, you have another chance the week after as the game is also confirmed to participate in Steam Next Fest happening on June 10 to 17, 2024. Considering that it’s only a week apart, chances are, the demo will not be taken out after the first event and will stay live until ASKA Early Access release. Maybe even after launch.

So what can you expect from the ASKA free demo?

Well for starters, you can play it with 3 other friends and it doesn’t have to be locally as earlier rumored. The online 4-player co-op is already supported during the demo. Then the devs also communicated that although there’s a city-building aspect to the game, the structures and buildings have a clear functional role, meaning you won’t be able to change how they look. You can, of course, decide where to place them.

If you fail to take care of your tribe, they will leave. And the most interesting part of the social dynamic is when your character dies. You will have the option to be reborn in a weakened body or sacrifice a tribe member to have full health upon returning.
