Xbox Game Pass subscribers were expecting another major skateboarding release this month but unfortunately those plans have now changed. While the latest Tony Hawk remasters are still part of July’s lineup, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is no longer headed to Game Pass this month.

 

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Cancelled for Game Pass

July was supposed to be the month where all Tony Hawk 1-4 remasters would finally be available on Xbox Game Pass. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 became the first title to join the service on July 2, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was originally scheduled to enter the library on July 21. However, an editor’s note was recently attached to the official Wave 1 announcement that the latter was removed from the lineup.

No explanation was given as usual but it’s not rocket science that this has got to do with licensing. Although Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 was published by Activision, it launched before Microsoft completed its acquisition of the company.

It’s most likely that Game Pass distribution may not have been covered under the original agreements tied to the game, particularly any licensing involving the Tony Hawk brand and related rights. Though this is a massive loss for Game Pass members, the July 2026 lineup is still pretty solid with an interesting mix of titles.

   

While THPS 1+2 is unfortunate news, today isn’t a bad day overall for subscribers. Denshattack! launches on Game Pass today for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members, and Quarantine Zone: The Last Check finally joins the Premium tier.
