Surprise surprise, Christmas came in early for Tomb Raiders fans on Nintendo. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition shadow dropped on Switch and Switch 2 yesterday, November 18th. And that’s not all, it came with a launch discount of up to 30% off.

 

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Launches on Nintendo Switch

In partnership with Aspyr, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, originally released by Crystal Dynamics in 2013, made an unexpected debut on Nintendo’s consoles yesterday. It was a well kept secret which is quite hard these days with all the insiders and data miners around. As much as we love a good leak, nothing beats a genuine surprise launch.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is now available on Switch and Switch 2. This edition includes all previous DLCs and the 8-player online multiplayer mode. On top of that, it also features the digital versions of the Dark Horse comic Tomb Raider: The Beginning, the mini-art book Tomb Raider: The Art of Survival, and the “Final Hours of Tomb Raider” developer video series.

   

As if the surprise launch wasn’t exciting enough, it does get even better. A 10% launch discount is available until November 24th, and players who own Tomb Raider I–III Remastered or Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered can claim an additional 10% loyalty discount for each. These discounts are stackable so if you check all marks, you can get 30% off.

While the launch discount is only until the 24th, the loyalty discount varies per region. In the Americas, it runs from November 18th to 25th, and in Europe and Australia, it will run from November 21st to 28th.

So what’s next? Should we expect a Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions too? Hopefully!
