Titanic Escape Simulator Isn’t Real – AI Trailer Sparks Major Confusion

Many people are currently talking about the Titanic Escape Simulator. After being announced in the PlayStation Store a few days ago, it immediately grabbed attention thanks to its impressive visuals.

Titanic Escape Simulator

At first glance, the images look incredibly detailed and almost photorealistic. No other Titanic game has ever shown the infamous ship in such detail. But if you take a closer look or watch the video footage, it becomes clear: something isn’t quite right.

The Alleged Titanic Escape Simulator

The Titanic Escape Simulator promises to take us aboard the RMS Titanic during the infamous shipwreck. You’ll experience the disaster from a first-person perspective in a game with survival gameplay. You must navigate through the “faithfully recreated Titanic” to escape the sinking ship. It’s said to include realistic physics and a dynamic flooding system. Even the freezing waters of the North Atlantic will pose a challenge, and you’ll need to manage resources.

Online Attention for the Game

The game is set to release in 2026 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and can already be wishlisted in the PlayStation Store. It gained massive attention on gaming sites and social media. A single Instagram post alone received over one million likes.

But perhaps the most unbelievable part is that the game is allegedly being developed by a solo developer, Tetyana Vysochanska. However, few people have noticed that the images and videos are entirely AI-generated, and Vysochanska is known for low-effort games.

The Titanic Escape Simulator AI Fake

The images may hide it well, but the trailer makes it very clear that everything is fake. Rooms contain repetitive patterns and deformed objects in the background. Some of these things are physically impossible.

But it’s especially obvious in the trailer—starting with the shadows, which are completely wrong, or the movements of the musicians. Perhaps funniest are the player’s arm movements as they move through the ship, or the reactions of people when water splashes onto the deck. Either way, it’s clear that everything is AI-generated. So, one must ask: Is there even a real game coming?

Are We Being Misled?

It’s entirely possible that a game called Titanic Escape Simulator will be released in 2026, but whether it will look like the trailer is highly unlikely. The AI-generated media was clearly designed to build hype, even if it’s a deception—and that much worked quite well.

But if we take another look at the solo developer Tetyana Vysochanska, something becomes clear. In the last year alone, they’ve released 20 games. Many used AI-generated images for cover art, and the games themselves consisted mostly of cheaply assembled assets. It’s likely Titanic Escape Simulator will be no different, so don’t get your hopes up.
