Saber Interactive officially revealed Stuntman Hollywood, but licensing silence from Universal forced them to cut Jurassic Park from the trailer.

It has been nearly two decades since we last got to live out our daredevil fantasies behind the wheel, but the Stuntman franchise is officially making its return. During the June 2026 PlayStation State of Play, a massive reveal trailer dropped for the newly announced Stuntman: Hollywood. The footage showed off plenty of high-octane action but as it turns out, the trailer could have been even more legendary if things had gone entirely to plan behind the scenes.

Jurassic Park Was Supposed to Be Part of the Stuntman Hollywood Reveal

Saber Interactive has been doing some heavy lifting to secure iconic franchises for Stuntman Hollywood, putting in the work to ensure that a twenty-year hiatus ends with a proper payoff.

While the announcement trailer confirmed absolute classics like Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, Fast & Furious, and Death Race, one of the biggest names in the industry included in the game was left out of the footage. According to a report from Gamefile, Jurassic Park is officially featured in the actual game even though it was missing from the big reveal.

The reason for the exclusion comes down to a temporary silence from Universal. A lack of communication restricted Saber from including the dinosaur franchise in the State of Play trailer and this radio silence also extended to the entire Jurassic Park IP for a few months.

Universal has since resolved the issue, though Saber CEO Matt Karch shared that he never received a formal explanation for why things went quiet. However, a Reddit user suggests the issue stemmed from Universal’s license renewal process. The studio wasn’t in danger of losing the Jurassic Park rights but they needed to ensure that the wording and details of the licensing agreements going forward were clear and fully approved by the Crichton estate.

If everything lines up perfectly, next year is a great one for dino fans. Alongside Stuntman Hollywood, both Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Lost Wilds are also expected to arrive in 2027.

And who knows, Jurassic Park Survival might even find room for a late 2027 release as well. But that’s probably wishful thinking already.
