Steam Sales 2026 Calendar: Full Dates & Best CD Key Deals
Fellow gamers and PC players, get your calendars out! In a move to help us all better plan our future splurges, Valve has just unveiled the complete schedule of Steam promotional events for the first half of 2026. This is fantastic news for anyone who likes to anticipate their purchases and never miss a good deal.
A major new addition in this announcement is the introduction of “Spotlight Fests.” These shorter events will highlight niche genres, providing welcome visibility to hidden gems. It’s an excellent initiative to help us discover new and diverse games!
So, without further ado, here’s what Steam has in store for us in early 2026.
2026 Steam Events: January to May Dates
Get your wishlists ready, because the first six months of the year are already looking packed!
January 2026: Detective & Board Games
The year kicks off with two distinct themes.
- Detective Fest: January 12 – 19
- Board Games Fest: January 26 – February 2
February 2026: PvP, Horses & Next Fest Demos
An eclectic month featuring PvP, horses, and of course, the can’t-miss event for game demos!
- Typing Fest: February 5 – 9 (Spotlight Fest)
- PvP Fest: February 9 – 16
- Horse Fest: February 19 – 23 (Spotlight Fest)
- Steam Next Fest – February 2026 Edition: February 23 – March 2
March 2026: Spring Sale & Tower Defense
Spring is coming, and with it, the first major seasonal sale of the year.
- Tower Defense Fest: March 9 – 16
- Steam Spring Sale 2026: March 19 – 26
- Home & Hearth Fest: March 30 – April 6
April 2026: Hidden Objects & Medieval Deals
From quiet investigations to epic battles, there will be something for everyone.
- Hidden Object Fest: April 9 – 13 (Spotlight Fest)
- Medieval Fest: April 20 – 27
May 2026: Deckbuilders & Ocean Adventures
May will be a month for strategy and for setting sail on the high seas.
- Deckbuilder Fest: May 4 – 11
- Ocean Fest: May 18 – 25
Valve has noted that the schedule for the second half of 2026 (June to December) will be announced at a later date.
