Satisfactory is the factory simulator style title from the Swedish team at Coffee Stain Studios. A famous indie studio from Skövde founded in 2010. They debuted in 2011 with Sanctum, followed by the hilarious and celebrated Goat Simulator in 2014. And of course, Satisfactory in 2024 after a period in Early Access since 2019.

Receiving huge success, it offers a true open world where we can manage a factory on alien planets. A success with over 5.5 million copies sold as of 2024, and it also won the PC GOTY at the Golden Joystick Awards. Satisfactory: The Long-Awaited Console Launch Confirmed

Following the official launch in September 2024 of Satisfactory version 1.0, the team, almost a year later, is finally bringing news for consoles. A console version had already been discussed by the team with the official launch, and they just revealed it on August 22, 2025. Confirming the debut on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for November 4, 2025.

A highly anticipated launch for console fans, accompanied by a fun trailer. In it, we see a non-operational factory and the Pioneers are missing. We soon discover them inside, playing with a controller, you guessed it, Satisfactory. It promises a first-person factory sim and automation experience, also available in co-op.

 

Satisfactory: The Latest News and Updates

The team will also be at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, with a small meetup on August 21 at The Corkonian Pub. As for the most recent news about the game, in June, we saw the launch of version 1.1 of the game. This version, by the way, added controller support on PC and various additions, including:

  • Photo Mode, Dismantler, and Elevators: A big overhaul of the Photo Mode with new filters and frames, plus new camera settings. Also, the new Crash Site Dismantler to clean up areas and get extra resources. And personnel elevators.
  • Buildings: New functions for trains and a rework of the rails, new features for the Conveyor. Plus 3 priority types for the Merger, to better control your factory’s output.
  • QoL Improvements: A whole bunch of improvements for Pipes, now both straight and curved. As well as hypertube transport with various junctions and branching options.

In addition to numerous other additions that also include some visual improvements to some animations. As well as audio improvements and the addition of support for the Ukrainian language. With version 1.1, we might potentially see another major new update ahead of the console launch.

Awesome news for console fans, who will soon be able to try Satisfactory on PS5 or Xbox Series.
