The ninth main entry in one of the most iconic survival horror franchises ever to be made is about to launch. Releasing on February 27, Resident Evil Requiem will make its way to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
Two days left so we better get things in motion. First off, file size. It’s a bigger download than RE4 Remake and Village, so prepare accordingly:
- Playstation 5: 72.88GB
- PC: 73GB
- Xbox Series X|S: 68.5GB with Deluxe Items of 1.3GB
- Nintendo Switch: 27.6 GB with Deluxe Items of 207MB
- *Apocalypse suit preorder bonus: 157.4MB
Preloads have already started on all platforms, with just minor delays in some regions. Of course it’s not mandatory but if you’ve preordered anyway, you might as well.
The game’s launch time differs where you are and if you’re playing on PC or console. However in North America, the PC and console release are at the same time which is Feb 26 9PM PT or Feb 27 00MN ET.
As for UK and EU countries, the console version will launch on Feb 27 at 00MN and the PC version at 5AM GMT. Here’s a time zone map for reference.
