The PlayStation Hero Project is the famous initiative launched by Sony Interactive Entertainment. A project born to promote the development of video games in various regions of the world, with the goal of developing and bringing global interest to local studios. The most renowned is the China Hero Project, which started in 2016, following the end of the console ban.

With the goal of establishing a strong foundation and collaboration with the important market of China. MENA Hero Project – The 4 New Games for PS5 Revealed

Following the August 2024 announcement of the new MENA Hero Project, the PlayStation team is finally showing the results. With the creation in 2024 of a project to promote video game development in the Middle East and North Africa regions. Announcing:

• Red Bandits (Saudi Arabia)

• Enci’s Solution (United Arab Emirates)

• The Perfect Run (Tunisia)

• A Cat’s Manor (Bahrain)

Bringing exactly one year after the announcement the 4 new games from the project. These games will be available on both PS5 and PC. Although PlayStation does not seem to confirm, at least for now, a potential launch within the year.

What We Know About the MENA Hero Project Games

From what has been officially shared by Sony, we currently have only some information about these new games from the MENA Hero Project. Specifically, Red Bandits is an action game where you play as a new group of thieves against the monopoly of a hyper-capitalistic company.

Enci’s Solution is a 2.5D adventure in a techno-dystopian universe playing as Ji’we. Your goal is to save your friend across more than 40 levels full of secrets and collectibles. A Cat’s Manor offers an adventure in a strange house, featuring puzzles, combat, and rhythm-based challenges. The Perfect Run is an action RPG with time loops, where you decide the fate of the city with only 3 days at your disposal.

These are certainly interesting titles, although apart from Enci’s Solution, there is still much to see. But they show great potential for these emerging regions.
