Key Takeaways

- The PS5 download size is 134.85 GB, while PC requires 300 GB of free space for preloading before settling at 145 GB.
- Official PC system requirements specify an SSD, 16 GB RAM, and at least an NVIDIA GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT.
One of the most anticipated titles of the year is closing in on its October 29 launch, which means it is time to prepare your storage drives. Preloading for both the PC and PlayStation 5 versions is officially live right now. File sizes are finally known and they are demanding some space.
Phantom Blade Zero Download Size and Preloading
For PS5 owners, the download sits at a hefty 134.857 GB. That’s a sizeable download, and a worrying one, since more major releases are still on the way. If your console is already packed, now might be a good time to clear some space. For anyone who invested in a 2TB PS5 Pro, that decision is paying off today.
Over at the PC side, you will need at least 300 GB of free space just to get through the initial installation process. Once everything unpacks, the final file size settles down to 145 GB. It’s reassuring to know that the game will go down to a bearable size but still, that 300gb preload requirement still hurts.
Alongside the preload, the official PC specifications give players a better idea of what hardware they’ll need. The minimum graphics card requirements are an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, while the recommended options are an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. An SSD and 16GB of RAM are also required.
