Ironwood Studios unveils the terrifying Whispers in the Woods, the new Pacific Drive DLC coming this year!

Pacific Drive (PD) is the hit survival driving game from Ironwood Studios, published by Kepler Interactive. The Seattle-based development team, founded in 2019, debuted with PD on 22 February 2024. An adventure that takes us to the Olympic Exclusion Zone in a post-apocalyptic 1998.

In a driving survival adventure full of mysteries and dangers, you’ll have to cross the Exclusion Zone in your trusty Station Wagon. Pacific Drive: ‘Whispers in the Woods’ DLC Revealed

Following the launch of Update 4 in April 2025, the team at Ironwood Studios finally has some incredible new updates on Pacific Drive. On 9 September 2025, they revealed the arrival of the first DLC expansion for the post-apocalyptic driving survival game. Titled Whispers in the Woods.

The announcement was accompanied by a Reveal Trailer that gives us a glimpse of the new spooky adventure waiting for us. Opening with a film-style cut, it takes us back into the heart of the Olympic Exclusion Zone’s forest. Now littered with mysterious effigies and symbols, this thrilling adventure is slated for release by the end of 2025.

 

Whispers in the Woods: What’s new coming to Pacific Drive?

Whispers in the Woods is the first major DLC expansion for Pacific Drive. It features a creepy new adventure that brings a new Story and tons of additions. Specifically, we’ll get:

  • Story: An intriguing and eerie story lasting 8-12 hours through the forest of the Olympic Exclusion Zone. All with new characters and voice acting, plus new discoveries waiting for us.
  • Artifacts: The main new addition of powerful artifacts that can change the world around you. They’re necessary for survival, but they’ll also bring a greater challenge.
  • New Features: There will also be plenty of new additions like the New Garage, Route Modifiers, and lots of cosmetic items to find. But new anomalies are also waiting for us.

An adventure that will be available after the first few hours into the game. It will be accompanied by a new soundtrack from Wilbert Roget II. The launch is scheduled for sometime in 2025, with more details coming soon.
