New World, the MMORPG from Amazon, finally, and we mean finally, releases September 28, and we have all of the game’s important features to get you started on your adventure.

New World is an MMORPG from Amazon Game Studios and takes place on the island of Aeturnum.
The world is in danger from the brutal hordes of The Corrupted, a dangerous and unrelenting enemy that expands across the land and grows in numbers with every passing day.
Your adventure begins on the beaches of Aeturnum, as you set about fighting back corrupted creatures and other explorers to claim the land for yourself.
There are three factions in New World; the Syndicate, Marauders, and Covenant factions.
Syndicate:
The Syndicate is a secretive organization whose members search for enlightenment through forbidden knowledge.
Covenant:
The Covenant seeks justice above all and has named themselves as cleansers of the land.
Marauders:
A ruthless military force, the Marauders, want a free nation, a place where men of all backgrounds can find riches and glory.
You are free to select any of the three factions, with each offering exclusive missions, objectives, and rewards.
Make sure to choose carefully, though, as you can only change factions every 120 days.
New World’s PvE and PvP coexist, with equal emphasis on both so that players don’t need to choose one or the other exclusively.
That said, PvP is an important feature in New World, and there are multiple ways to battle against other players.
War:
War is a 50v50 PvP game mode in which players fight for control of contested territories. The faction currently in control of the territory will be defenders, and the other will act as attackers.
These battles occur at predetermined times, and players get access to siege machines to claim victory.
Outpost Rush:
Outpost Rush is a PvPvE game mode featuring 20v20 teams battling for points in a massive open map.
The game mode will play much like a MOBA, with players fighting over resources, creature summons, and bosses. The first team to 1,000 points wins.
Open World PvP:
If jumping into PvP-dedicated modes doesn’t suit you, you can simply flag yourself for PvP and battle those you encounter on your journey.
It would not be an MMO if there were no PvE in the game, and in New World, there are two ways to join groups and participate in PvE events.
Invasion:
Much like War, Invasion sees a group of 50 players defend an outpost from waves of Corrupted.
During the battle, players need to repair barricades, operate artillery, and defend the stronghold walls.
Expeditions:
Expeditions are New World’s attempt at classic MMO dungeons, with multi-level instances in procedurally generated Corrupted areas.
Expeditions are available to groups of five, and each one will provide players with a little more lore about Aeturnum.
Yes, absolutely. Like any other MMO, you can choose to party up with other players, compete in PvP, complete dungeons, and join guilds.
But that isn’t everything the game has to offer, and in no way does the game hold your hand and direct you.
Instead, you are encouraged to explore and tackle challenges freely as you wish. Making your way in Aeternum, whether it’s completing quests, leveling up your skills, or taking time out to fish, is all your choice.
