Mayor Cody is Coming to Street Fighter 5 this Week
Cody Travers, first introduced in Capcom’s classic beat-em-up Final Fight, will be returning to the publisher’s premier 2D fighter, Street Fighter 5, this week. Cody has had a complete make-over, sporting a fancy haircut and some very fancy clothes befitting his new title as mayor.

Despite going from picking fights with street thugs to heading up city hall, Cody still knows his way with a blade and steel pipe. Both weapons are featured in his V-Triggers which boosts his arsenal of fighting moves with some great utility.
It’s not just his looks though that has changed but his fighting style too. Many fans have been asking for Cody’s return so it’ll be interesting to see how old-school Cody players will react to his new style. Check out the character introduction video below to see more of how he handles:
Cody will be coming to Street Fighter 5 on June 26th. Capcom will be taking the game offline for 6 hours for maintenance. They’ll also take the chance to add in some crossover costumes plus the all-new loot box feature. Once the update is completed, players will be able to get Cody as part of the Season 3 Character Pass or via a separate purchase. Cody is also free to try until the 28th.
