Kena Bridge of Spirits is finally coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2026, bringing the beloved action adventure to Nintendo players.

Since its original release, Kena Bridge of Spirits has slowly expanded across multiple platforms with the obvious omission of one. Nintendo fans have been waiting years for the adventure to arrive on one of the company’s consoles and today, that wait is finally coming to an end. The game is now officially headed to the Nintendo Switch 2 this year.

Developer Ember Lab has officially announced that Kena Bridge of Spirits will be launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 this spring. While an exact release date hasn’t been revealed yet, the studio confirmed a Spring 2026 release window for the new version.

This release is particularly notable because the game is already available on pretty much all major platforms except for Nintendo. Kena Bridge of Spirits first launched in 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Then in 2024, the game expanded again when it arrived on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

While the game’s Nintendo announcement is good news, unfortunately for those still using the original Switch, Ember Lab confirmed that the upcoming release is only planned for the Switch 2.

The Switch 2 version will include the game’s expanded content. According to Ember Lab, the port will feature the Anniversary DLC, which added new content and updates to the experience, and also the New Game+ mode.

For Nintendo fans, this announcement is an exciting step that finally brings one of the most visually striking action-adventure titles of the past few years to the platform. It also opens the door to the possibility that the upcoming sequel, Kena Scars of Kosmor, could eventually make its way to Nintendo hardware as well. The next entry in the series is currently expected to launch later this year on PC and PlayStation 5.
