- Developer Tallboys confirmed the immersive sim Militsioner will launch in 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
- Players must navigate a reactive town and escape the constant gaze of a Colossal Policeman who observes their every move.
- Gameplay relies on non-linear solutions, including stealth, bribery, and a Tamagotchi-style relationship system that even allows you to romance the giant.
When will Militsioner release and what platforms are supported?
Publisher Critical Reflex and developer Tallboys have confirmed that Militsioner will launch in 2027. The immersive sim will be available on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, as well as Xbox Series X|S consoles.
The title will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass for both PC and console. The development team announced the release window during the Xbox @ Gamescom Showcase.
This launch strategy includes full support for Xbox Play Anywhere. Players who purchase the digital edition or access the title through Game Pass can seamlessly switch between PC and Xbox Series X|S without paying additional costs.
The Colossal Policeman and Kafkaesque Escape Mechanics
Militsioner drops players into an absurd scenario where they face arrest for a crime they did not commit. The primary obstacle is the Colossal Policeman, a literal giant who looms over the skyline and constantly observes the town.
The giant does not patrol traditional routes. Instead, the massive figure maintains continuous visual coverage of the environment, forcing players to carefully calculate every movement. Players must navigate the town and uncover a path to the train station to escape. Tallboys designed the environment to support non-linear problem-solving.
Gamers can manipulate local systems, bribe cashiers, break into ticket booths, or sprint for their lives when the giant awakens. Every action carries consequences, as the town maintains a strict memory of player choices.
The penalty for failure often involves a direct confrontation with the giant. Detection forces players to run and seek shelter before the massive hand reaches them, adding severe pressure to an otherwise methodical exploration experience.

Dynamic World Systems and Tamagotchi-Like Relationships
The core of the gameplay loop relies on a highly reactive social system. Every non-playable character, including the giant lawbringer, operates on a mood system similar to a Tamagotchi. The official Steam update details how players can influence these moods. Gamers can utilize a free-phrase dialogue system, offer flattery, or present gifts to the townsfolk.
This relationship mechanic introduces highly unconventional solutions to traditional immersive sim problems. Players can gather flowers and attempt to seduce the Colossal Policeman.
Initiating a romance arc with the primary antagonist represents a legitimate escape route. Conversely, upsetting the standard-sized townsfolk carries immense risk, as disgruntled citizens might report the player directly to the giant.
The environment itself shifts constantly based on internal schedules. Trains, cars, citizens, and the giant all follow specific daily routines. Players can manipulate the time of day to uncover new paths or wait for environmental changes like real-time flooding and eclipses.
Militsioner presents a distinct take on the immersive sim genre by blending heavy philosophical themes with absurd mechanics. The 2027 release window provides developer Tallboys ample time to refine the complex relationship systems and the intricate memory mechanics of the town. Game Pass access ultimately lowers the barrier to entry for this surreal title.
