Jump Space (JS) is the space exploration action game from the development team at Keepsake Games. It’s the debut title from the Swedish indie team formed by former members of Coffee Stain. The game was previously known as Jump Ship, but was renamed in August 2025 just days before Gamescom due to trademark issues.
In development since 2021, this game delivers a PvE-style space adventure. Together with our friends, we can explore planets to complete various missions. The unique feature is the ability to explore on foot or aboard our ship without any loading interruptions. Jump Space: Official Early Access Release Date Confirmed
The Keepsake Games team also had the chance to participate in this year’s Gamescom. And the team announced their participation where they would reveal the release date announcement. Their space-themed co-op action-adventure game will debut on September 19, 2025, on Xbox Series X/S and PC in Early Access.
The announcement came specifically on August 20, 2025, from the Future Game Show lineup with the new trailer. Officially presenting the game with its new name, Jump Space, after the announcement from the Dev Q&A. Delivering an epic first-person shooter adventure, with battles aboard our spaceship or on the ground.
Jump Space: The Latest News
Keepsake Games has certainly been very busy in recent months. With JS reaching well over 1 Million Wishlists on Steam. In the recent Q&A, the team announced the rebranding of the name due to some trademark disputes. But they also talked about some aspects like the final design of the Artifacts, the importance of good piloting to dodge enemy fire, and much more.
Additionally, there’s the new gameplay video, where co-founder Filip Coulianos introduces us to the Jump Ship experience. As a 4-player co-op FPS where we’ll tackle various missions across space. Choosing our ship and the strategic approach we want to take. The showcase features a mission and the return to base to unlock upgrades before heading back out on another mission.
