Halls of Torment launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with the Bardcore update and Boglands DLC, available day-one on Xbox Game Pass.

After a long wait, Halls of Torment is finally on console. The game officially launched on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 28, 2025, a year after the full release on PC. And the best part? It’s a day-one launch on Xbox Game Pass and is available not only for Ultimate and PC members, but also Premium subscribers.

Halls of Torment Now On Console and Game Pass

Chasing Carrots’ critically acclaimed hoard survival game, Hall of Torment, is now available on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game initially launched on Steam Early Access in May 2023, then made a full release in September 2024. Since then, it crossed over to mobile and now, console.

But today isn’t just about releasing the game on PS5 and Xbox Series. It’s also the release of a free major update “Bardcore” and the launch of the Boglands DLC. Both are included in the console version.

For those with active Game Pass Ultimate, PC, and Premium subscriptions, you can jump in the game now on console, PC, and cloud. Halls of Torment is a retro-style horde survival RPG inspired by late 90s classics, where players choose a hero and battle through endless waves of nightmarish foes in the deadly halls below. Each run lets you build and strengthen your character with new abilities, traits, and loot as you descend deeper into the abyss to face powerful Lords.

The latest update, Bardcore, adds a new Bard character, six fresh abilities, new endgame artifacts, metal music tracks, and manual level-ups, expanding the game’s already addictive blend of action, strategy, and old-school charm.

The Boglands DLC introduces a grim new swamp stage filled with deadly creatures, haunting spirits, and ancient trees where survival is the ultimate challenge. Players can master two new heroes: The Crone, who spreads Decay through sinister plant magic, and The Alchemist, who wields explosive elemental concoctions.

The update also adds 70+ quests, three new abilities, dozens of items, and a new Decay mechanic that weakens enemies over time. With six new artifacts, expanded traits, and fresh blessings, the Boglands DLC brings deeper strategy, higher risks, and more ways to die in the game’s brutal, retro-inspired world.
