In addition, players will vote each week on how specific enemies should be fought. The results will determine special gameplay modifiers for the respective weekend. During the event, Techland will also introduce tougher enemies, extra challenges, and rare Bober Infected that may spawn in Castor Woods. Not all goals for the three-week period have been fully revealed yet.
21 Free Rewards and Update 1.7
Running parallel to the event, Crane’s Anniversary Drops will launch on September 21. This is a 21-day reward calendar hosted on the Dying Light Outpost Web Hub. Every day, a new free reward will be unlocked. Several types of rewards have already been confirmed:
- In-game Dockets
- Store Points
- Festive weapon skins with matching blueprints
- Further surprises
The best part is that missing a day does not mean the reward is lost immediately. The items can be claimed retroactively. The final deadline is October 19, 2026, at 14:00 CEST. After this date, any unclaimed items will expire.
Alongside the event and rewards, Update 1.7 has also been released, bringing both anniversary content and various bug fixes. Destructible objects occasionally blocked paths in Race Challenges, but this has now been resolved. Furthermore, multiple crashes, bugs, FPS spikes, and stuttering in the settings menu have been addressed.
