Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that Diablo 4 Season 9, titled “Sins of the Horadrim,” will launch July 1 for PC and consoles. The update makes changes to Nightmare Dungeons, adds seasonal content, and introduces new loot to the action RPG.

The update will include a new seasonal questline, Horadric Strongroom micro-dungeons, and escalating Nightmares in which players battle through multiple Nightmare Dungeons to earn more powerful gear.
What Is Sins of the Horadrim?
Diablo 4 Season 9 introduces a new storyline, with players sent on a quest by Druid Bryona to destroy corrupted blood relics before demons can claim them and free Astaroth, who was sealed away by the Horadric Mage, Donan.
The new season is a chance for players to learn more about the Horadrim, where they will uncover forgotten rituals and confront a corrupted chapter of the Horadrim’s legacy.
New Features and Gameplay Changes
As expected with a new season, Sins of the Horadrim adds tons of new features to Diablo 4. An infographic shared by Blizzard highlights the main additions coming to Season 9. They include the new Nightmare Dungeons that include Horadric Strongrooms, Escalating Nightmares, and Nightmare Dungeon affixes.
Additionally, players can get new loot, customize ancient powers with the new Horadric Spellcraft feature, unlock new potential with the new socketable Horadric Jewels, grab the new Dante seasonal pet, earn new Reliquary rewards, and face-off against Astaroth and Exalted Astaroth. When and How to Join the Season
Sins of the Horadrim goes live with Season 9 of Diablo 4. The new season launches for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on July 1, with the seasonal questline given out by Druid Bryona.
Bryona is in Cerrigar and will give “The Embers Yet Smolder” questline to players who have complete the Diablo 4 base game and create a new character on the Seasonal Realm.
