Terra Nil is a unique take on the city building genre. A really unexpected title from the indie team of Free Lives, as previous titles were absolutely afar from this game, as Broforce and Genital Jousting are more wacky, chaotic and doesn't take themselves too seriously, while Terra Nil is an extremely relaxed title with a message as its core. Terra Nil is a reverse city builder, as we'll have a campaign where the game map is subdivided into 4 different climatic regions, Tropical, Temperate, Polar and Continental. Our objective is to restore each region to their previous glory, from a desolate wasteland into a lush and rich of life biome. The gameplay has 3 phases. In the first one we'll restore the land thanks to our machines, in order to create a good basis for the environment. The second phase we'll shape each biome according to the various objective given, so that the fauna and flora can sustain itself. Thus in the final phase, we'll research new techs and slowly remove each of our machinery once the balanced is restored. Of course we can also watch and appreciate the biome we created once the area is finished. Accompanied by a relaxed music, Terra Nil is an interesting take on the city building genre with a unique idea and an environmental ideal as its core. If you are looking for a game where you can relax and build a nice looking green environment, this title could be for you. Despite the higher than usual pricetag, the devs are also donating money to an environment charity with each copy purchased, so for this around I don't mind it.
