Slay the Spire 2 is a brilliant evolution of the genre, featuring a sleek new engine, refined visuals, and a surprisingly chaotic 4-player co-op mode. The new characters, like the Necrobinder, add fresh mechanical depth while the original trio returns with updated kits.
Slay the Spire 2 builds upon aspects and mechanics of the first game, taking it to a new level. The change that I was most surprised about was the introduction of 4-player coop, it adds a lot of depth and complexity to an already deep game. The game is currently in Early Access so there's still a lot to be done but it's safe to say that if you liked the first game, you'll like this one too.
The first Slay the Spire is one of the best roguelikes ever made. If the sequel just builds on that formula, we’re already winning
