About OneShot

OneShot is a top-down puzzle adventure game developed by Future Cat LLC. Guide a child through a mysterious world to restore its long-dead sun, but things are never that simple. The world is aware of your existence; saving it may be impossible, but you only have one shot.

A completely unexpected wonder. Its use of witty dialogue and strong focus on characters can easily rival that of Undertale. The story, though slowed somewhat by one or two finicky puzzles, will pull at your heartstrings constantly. You definitely won’t want it to end.

COGconnected

It doesn’t always reach the depth of other titles of its ilk, and its isolated characters can sometimes jar its themes, but its novel use of what could’ve so easily been a mere clone makes Oneshot not only a continually creative puzzle game, but one in which its innocent, cat-eared protagonist keeps you caring till the end. Perhaps most commendably, it makes the simulated invasion of privacy cute. Maybe I’ll keep the Blu-Tack off for Niko. I want him to know I’m there.

New Game Network

It’s short, but worth every second of your time. This version is somewhat more forgiving than the original, much to my disappointment, but the visuals, atmosphere, and narrative come together to create a particularly impressive experience.
