New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is one of the best-selling titles on Switch, and for a good reason: its HD graphics and addicting gameplay couldn't go unnoticed. As a part of an undying franchise of platformer games, this enhanced version of New Super Mario Bros U is great to play in the family circle. Returning players will enjoy seeing the favorite characters, and new-to-the-series people will surely appreciate the gameplay. In short, this is a no-brainer.
A fun platformer that was originally released for the Wii U. is also available on Switch with all the extra content bundled into one package. It's a 2D Mario game with different characters to play, many game modes and variation in some levels to offer replay value. It's not very innovative and there's certainly better Mario games but it's still a good and enjoyable game.
New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is a fantastic addition to the Nintendo Switch library, bringing classic 2D platforming fun to the handheld console. This enhanced version of the Wii U title offers a wealth of content, including the base game and the New Super Luigi U expansion, providing hours of challenging and enjoyable gameplay. The controls are tight and responsive, making the platforming experience smooth and satisfying. The level design is clever and varied, with creative obstacles, hidden secrets, and memorable boss battles. The inclusion of multiplayer modes, both local and online, adds a whole new dimension to the game, allowing you to team up or compete with friends. The addition of Toadette and Nabbit as playable characters brings a fresh twist to the gameplay, offering different playstyles and adding to the replay value. The game's vibrant visuals, catchy music, and nostalgic nods to Mario's history make it a joy to play for both longtime fans and newcomers to the series.
New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe (NSMBUD) brings back the beloved Mario Brosalong with other fan-favorite characters like Toad, Toadette (and the famous Peachette)! Whether playing alone or with friends, this game offers endless fun and adventure. With immersive new levels and exciting challenges, players can expect fresh experiences throughout the game. Multiplayer takes center stage, enabling up to 5 players to join forces and tackle challenges together. This wild multiplayer experience adds an extra layer of excitement and encourages cooperation among friends.
Mario Bros have been part of the videogame landscape for some 30 years now. And a little bird tells me it won't be the last! In the meantime, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe attempts to give the title originally released on Wii U a facelift. It's the same old, same old: the gamedesign and level design are, of course, up to scratch, as is the content, fleshed out by a Luigi spin-off. The additions of Toadette and Peachette are more ancedotic. There's also a challenge mode for multiplayer battles, the game's fluidity and colorful environments, and its accessibility, which doesn't prevent it from being challenging if you want to tackle a speedrun, for example. However, I'd criticize Nintendo for releasing yet another remake/remaster, and for not taking enough risks. There are no new licenses, and we're served the same soup, games already released in improved versions (like Kirby or Mario Kart 8). Too bad, too bad!
