After a decade of work, Square Enix has succeeded in delivering a Final Fantasy experience that can please long-time fans, while simultaneously luring in a new generation of adventurers. The game isn’t quite perfect, but it is close enough that it will very likely be a game-of-the-year contender on many lists.

Final Fantasy XV had quite a lot to live up to after so many years, and while it may have taken a decade to get here, the journey was worth the wait with this phenomenal entry in the series.

Attack of the Fanboy

Day One Edition

Day one Edition of Final Fantasy XV is the very first exclusive version of the game and was only available for pre-order. It includes the base game and the following bonuses:

• Base Game
• Masamune DLC Weapon – Get Masamune, a greatsword named after the great Japanese blacksmith who created high-quality katanas. In the game, the Masamune is a greatsword that has a 20% chance to inflict 30% max HP damage on the target when you’re at total health.
• Powerup Pack – This edition also includes a collection of useful items, including Tent, Phoenix Down, and Elixir
• Fashion Collection – One of the main outfits to highlight here is the Royal Raiment and the Blitzer’s Fanfare outfit for Noctis
• Postcard set -When you pre-order through Square Enix’s official store, there are a total of 5 postcard sets that come with the purchase.

Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe Edition is available for purchase at most major retailers. It contains the base game, plus the additional bonuses:

• Base Game
• Exclusive steel book – A physical copy of the game for this version includes an exclusive steel book that features the art of Yoshitaka Amano.
• Season Pass – Additional episodes of the game are included here, such as episodes Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, and Episode Ignis. All of this additional content expands the story and provides more information about the characters and the world.
• Travel pack – As traveling on an open-world map can be quite a burden, the Deluxe edition allows you to move around without wasting too much time waiting. The travel pack includes a Carnet de Voyage image book, a Mage Mask, and a Gladiator Gear outfit. They are essential for travel to make the game feel more rewarding for you.

Royal Edition Pack

The Royal Edition Pack DLC is an upgrade for the base game. It includes the following additional content and features:

• Base Game
• Insomnia City Ruins – Explore the new dungeon and get bonus rewards
• Amiger Unleashed – Want some more challenges? After you complete and discover all 13 royal arms, a new game mode can be unlocked.
• Dozens of new weapons and Regalia car skins to customize your style.

This DLC includes the following features that are not in the standard edition:

• The Season Pass DLC includes the following DLCs Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades, Episode Ignis, Episode Gladiolus, and Episode Prompto.

Final Fantasy XV Episode Prompto

As a DLC having, episode Prompto touched the roots of the original Final Fantasy by kicking off the additional content with a new soundtrack. New content also includes:

• Lion Heart pistol and Tundra outfit will be awarded after the completion of the episode.
• Third-person shooter gameplay
• Own an exclusive set of achievements and trophies
• You can use Prompto himself, specializing in inflicting enemies with ailments and utilizing daemons.

Final Fantasy XV Episode Gladiolus

This DLC is an upgrade of the existing base game, including the following items:

• Genji Blade weapon and the Dual Master Glaive upon completion of the episode
• Score Attack and Final Trial game modes, which gives you the option to go through the same challenges as you finish the episode and pit you against enemies with different levels of difficulty.
• In Score Attack, you can unlock the Rugged Attire outfit that Gladio can equip. He goes topless during this mode, so there will be no more being flashy. In turn, Gladio becomes upgraded with an attack boost.
