And now, Elden Ring does the same for the Souls series itself. Years of gameplay refinements and revisions blend together with major franchise shifts such as the move to an open world and giving players far more freedom in how they set about saving said world.

Miyazaki and company have delivered a fantasy epic that viciously scrapes and claws its way into the pantheon of unforgettably important video games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Elden Ring is FromSoftware's most remarkable work so far and stands confidently as one of the greatest RPGs of all time.

Elden Ring is the ARPG Souls like game with a huge map with secrets and secrets to discover and with hours and hours to sink into. I played it and the first time you leave the tutorial you are mesmerized by the huge map, until you are back to the bonfire for the first time with your pride hurt. You'll die a lot but still the gameplay loop is so additive and rewarding that you can't stop playing and getting better just to keep exploring and discovering new dangers. Masterpiece.

A new dark fantasy souls-style adventure by FromSoftware! Elden Ring takes place in Land Between, centuries after the events that caused the fragmentation of the Ring and the war known as the Shattering, here our character, a Tarnished, is trying to obtain the shards and restore the Ring to become the new Elden Lord and reign over all the lands. But his goal may change as he interacts and learns more about the world and the lost truth, by facing merciless enemies and meet new characters.
Elden Ring is the best Souls made by From Software, in my opinion. In the open world at least. The game offers enormous challenge, titanic content, original bosses, tons of side quests and nooks and crannies to explore that we sometimes wish we hadn't... The RPG aspect is excellent: parrying is encouraged, with shields, but not compulsory, and there are many possible play styles, some more obvious (invocations), others more demanding. But in any case, there's plenty of choice.

The game's lore is rich and captivating, drawing me deeper into its intricate narrative with each step. The combat mechanics are a perfect blend of challenging and rewarding, demanding precision and strategy from the player. The variety of weapons and abilities allows for a personalized playstyle, making every encounter feel unique. The open-world design is a refreshing departure from FromSoftware's previous titles, offering vast landscapes to explore and secrets to uncover. The boss battles, as expected, are nothing short of epic, testing both my skills and determination. Elden Ring is a shining example of what happens when two creative powerhouses come together to create something truly special. It's a must-play for any fan of the Soulsborne genre and a new standard for excellence in game design.
