Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is the perfect encore to one of the greatest games of all time. It knows it’s already delivered an astonishing performance, and after leaving us hanging, returns asking if we want more. That’s exactly what we wanted, and it’s more of the same in all the right ways. There are no big surprises, and that’s only a good thing, as everything in the Shadow Realm would feel at home in the base game. It promised more Elden Ring, and as someone who rarely finds the time to revisit an old game for new DLC, I’m utterly addicted to this expansion.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is my favorite expansion ever. Supplanting the twins of The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine, and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, there is more to do here than most games twice over. Outside of an over-tuned final boss, I have zero major gripes and dozens of things I adore. It’s not easy, it’s not meant to be, but it is amazing.

Shadow of the Erdtree is possibly the only DLC that Elden Ring will get. It introduces a new, vast area, filled with secrets, new items and, of course, tough bosses. Explore the Realm of Shadow at your own pace and prepare to be challenged by each new enemy due to the new and unique progression system that makes sure this DLC will be no cake walk, even to the most over leveled players.
From Software is releasing its most ambitious expansion to date, Shadow of the Erdtree, which completes an already insane Elden Ring experience. New bosses, a new zone that requires you to have passed certain levels in the base game (which are not unattainable). You can also expect new equipment and new summons. So you’ll be in for dozens of hours of fun.
Elden Ring is an awesome game that will become even better with its new expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, that will add a new huge area map with dangerous locations and dungeons, weapons, bosses, secrets and deaths to be discovered while following Miquella’s travel to the Shadowlands. So those that love the game, that are many, can’t miss this DLC at all, and those who never played it, well, maybe it is already time to do so, but prepare to die, a lot.
While the base game is already rich in content, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is going to expand its potential even more. In this upcoming DLC we will receive a new story, supplemented with more equipment, weapons, other type of enemies, and new locations to explore. Visually stunning, it’s worth playing if you like challenging and immersive RPG.
