Adam Wolfe is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Mad Head Games step into the shoes of the titular Adam Wolfe an investigator of the paranormal, and explore a hidden world under the modern-day San Francisco a place where crime and paranormal occurrences intertwine in its darkest corners ghosts, artifacts, secret orders, and curses are just some of the things that Adam will come across as he works on his most important cases.
It’s not bad as such, just not particularly challenging. Adam Wolfe does some interesting things to keep the player involved but fails to stimulate in the way that this kind of fiction really should.
‘Adam Wolfe’ is a somewhat pretty and ultimately routine HOPA. It differs little from its predecessors in this genre, and as sheer time-wasters go it pales in comparison to so many other casual and, I dare to say it, social media games. The folks over at Madhead are clearly lovers of the HOPA but this a niche field to say the least, and ‘Adam Wolfe’ has little mainstream appeal.
I’d say, even with all of this taken into consideration, that Adam Wolfe is a game worth looking at…although I’d say wait until it’s on sale. With a couple of weak episodes and some presentation issues, I’d find it hard to justify paying full price for the experience.
