EA and Battlefield Labs drop the Battlefield 6 Season 1 trailer, teasing fans with a brand-new map and an all-new game mode. The first-person shooter’s first season will launch for PC and consoles on October 28, 2025.
The first Battlefield 6 season brings a new large-scale map, a new 4v4 game mode, and all-new rewards for players to earn with a Battle Pass designed around player choice.
Fans don’t have to wait long to jump into the frontline when the Battle Pass drops, as it will go live on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 28, 2025.
What’s New in Battlefield 6 Season 1
Battlefield 6 Season 1 begins on October 28 and is split into three parts. The first is Rogue Ops, which launches with the new season, bringing with it the large Blackwell Fields map, Traverser Mark 2 vehicle, and 4v4 Strikepoint game mode.
Rogue Ops will also come with the new SOR-300SC carbine rifle, GGH-22 pistol, Mini Scout sniper, and Rail Cover weapon attachment.
Following Rogue Ops is California Resistance, which launches November 18 and features the limited-time Sabotage game mode, the DB-12 shotgun, M357 Trait pistol, and the long-awaited battle pickups feature.
Season 1 ends with Winter Offensive, which kicks off December 9 with the limited-time Ice Lock event and the Ice Climbing Axe melee weapon.
Blackwell Fields Map
The first new map players are getting as part of Season 1 is Blackwell Fields, a large, open map set in a desert and spans “besieged facilities and homesteads under a burning horizon, supporting all combat sizes with land and air,” according to the description for the trailer.
Due to its size, Blackwell Fields provides players with various options in terms of playstyles. Whether you’re looking to hide with a sniper rifle, soar overhead and lay down support from a jet, or be in the thick of it in close-quarters combat, Blackwell Fields accommodates all.
