Astro Bot adds 5 new levels and 5 iconic bots including Cloud and Atsu in the Vicious Void Galaxy update. New trophies now available too!

Just last month, Team Asobi revealed that the beloved award-winning Astro Bot would be getting even more content this July. The update introduces five new levels to the ever-growing Astro-verse, all set within the newly added Vicious Void Galaxy expansion. While four of the levels were revealed early, one remained a mystery. And in true Astro Bot fashion, each level introduces new special bots which have all now been revealed.

 

Astro Bot Latest Update: New Bots And New Challenges

This month’s update gives Astro Bot fans a new set of cosmic playgrounds to explore. The following five levels are now officially part of the game included in the Vicious Void Galaxy DLC:

  • Twin-Frog Trouble
  • Suck It Up
  • Handhold Havoc
  • High Inflation
  • Megamix Mastery (previously “mystery level”)
   

With these additions, Astro Bot now has over 90 playable levels, offering fans and newbies hours of playtime. And like previous updates, each level also introduces its own unique special bot.

When the expansion was first announced, we only got a first look of Atsu from Ghost of Yotei. Now that Update 1.017 is live, the rest of the cast has been revealed and it’s stacked with fan favorites from other beloved franchises. Thanks Sony!

  • 2B (NieR: Automata)
  • Cloud (Final Fantasy VII)
  • Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
  • Serge (Chrono Cross)
  • Atsu (Ghost of Yotei)

With every new Astro Bot update comes with new PlayStation trophies and the Vicious Void Galaxy expansion carries it on. Here’s what you can earn by playing through the new content:

  • Springy Rescue (Bronze)
  • Slimy Rescue (Bronze)
  • Hanging Rescue (Bronze)
  • Pumping Rescue (Bronze)
  • Impossible Rescue (Silver)

The silver trophy, Impossible Rescue, is tied to the newly revealed Megamix Mastery level. For those who have already played it, consensus is, it’s one of the hardest challenges in the game. Well it looks like the weekend is booked for most us!
