Amazon Luna has kicked off its first free PC game drop of October and Prime members are getting two seriously recognizable names right from the start. The usual monthly announcement still hasn’t arrived on schedule but that hasn’t stopped the first two games from going live.
October opens with Five Nights at Freddy’s Into the Pit and DOOM, two highly acclaimed games from very different corners of gaming. If this drop is anything to go by, this month is going to be a solid one.
Latest PC Games for Free on Amazon Luna for Prime Members
Leading the drop is Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit, a standout retro survival horror adventure that quickly became one of the most praised entries in the entire franchise. The story centers on Oswald, a bored kid who stumbles upon a time-traveling ball pit inside an abandoned pizzeria and accidentally unleashes a nightmare.
Over the course of five nights, you shift between the past and present to collect clues, solve environmental puzzles, and evade a relentless creature hunting you down. It takes the brand’s classic tension and channels it into a high-stakes rescue mission where every stealthy move counts toward saving Oswald’s dad and children from the past.
Joining it is DOOM, the celebrated first-person shooter that completely revitalized the genre with pure adrenaline and precision combat. As the lone marine awakened on an overrun Martian facility, your only objective is to wipe out the invading demonic forces.
Survival means staying on the attack at all times, stripping away modern cover mechanics in favor of blistering movement speed, devastating heavy weaponry, and bone-crunching melee finishing blows. Alongside the single-player campaign, it packs classic arena multiplayer and the SnapMap editor, giving you the tools to build, share, and play custom maps with the community.
Prime members can grab both titles right now, with additional free PC drops scheduled to follow once Amazon reveals the rest of October’s lineup next Thursday.
