Young Suns Shadow Dropped on Xbox Game Pass via Game Preview
Young Suns now available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC tiers. Play on console, PC, and cloud.
While we were expecting a shadow drop before the month ends, this one genuinely came out of nowhere. Not only was Young Suns revealed, it was also launched and added to Xbox Game Pass at the same time.
Young Suns Joins Xbox Game Pass on Day-One
Alongside yesterday’s drop which included Banishers Ghosts of New Eden and Kill It With Fire 2, Xbox Game Pass has one more up its sleeve. It’s not enough to give us 2 great games, but it also brought us a day-one launch.
Publisher and Developer KO-OP revealed Young Suns, their latest adventure RPG. It is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox for PC, and Xbox Game Pass. Since it is a day-one launch, only Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can access the game. There is a free trial, however, available for everyone on Xbox.
Young Suns is still in its early access state so if you check its Xbox page, it still says Game Preview. The game is also intended to release on Steam but no date has been announced yet. Interestingly, its Steam page doesn’t say Early Access so maybe when that launches there, it will also release in full on Game Pass. Well, considering it’s still there.

Young Suns is a cozy space life sim where you play as a new ship captain in Jupiter, exploring planetoids, ruins, and stations while helping recently freed citizens rebuild their society. You can play solo or with friends, take on small daily quests, meet and befriend a big cast of characters, and shape your own story through conversations and choices as you travel through a newly reclaimed region of space.
Your spaceship is both your home base and your main project. You can customize your look freely, decorate the ship with lots of craftable items, salvage and repair “junk” into useful treasures, and upgrade tools and gear to tackle tougher jobs. The game is built for short, relaxing daily sessions, mixing open exploration, light progression, and drop-in co-op with a colorful style and a calm, character driven vibe.
