Starsand Island is a life sim adventure developed and published by Seed Lab. The title has been in development since 2023 by Creativision Studio, and was officially revealed on 20 January 2025, along with a Kickstarter Campaign from the studio in Zuhai, China. It’s a debut title that brings a life and farming sim adventure inspired by classics like Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, and Stardew Valley.
With tons of unique characters, numerous activities, and especially interactions that can lead to lasting relationships with the various inhabitants. Starsand Island: Release Date and Platforms Revealed at TGS 25
With their participation at the Tokyo Game Show confirmed, Seed Lab brought a lot of fantastic news about Starsand Island. The debut life sim adventure from the Chinese team appeared in the lineup of the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast. They finally revealed the platforms and release date, so it will be launching on:
- 1 February 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
This moves the launch date to early 2026, which was originally planned for Q4 2025. This was all accompanied by a Debut Trailer with a strong cinematic feel. With a colorful intro that revisits the childhood memories of two protagonists. It then showcases the creative building component, in a relaxing adventure set to arrive in 2026.

Starsand Island offers a true Cozy-style Life Sim Adventure. It promises an immersive experience, with a real Affection System for the NPCs. This will give a deep touch to each character, with reactions and actions based on our progress. And of course, there will be plenty of activities to do around the island.
On top of that, there are all the bonuses reached through the Kickstarter Campaign, which include new Pets and customizations, a House-Boat, vehicles, and much more. Lucky attendees at TGS 2025 will be able to try it out with an exclusive Demo. But there’s also news of a Demo coming to Steam on 8 October for the Steam Next Fest.
