A series that started in 2018 with the first installment, bringing us an adventure with a retro 2D style but with modern visual features. Octopath Traveler 0: Everything We Know So Far
OT 0 is therefore a prequel chapter deeply based on the gacha Champions of the Continent (CotC). A gacha game whose services ended in early 2025. This time, it brings a different approach compared to the 2 main chapters, offering:
- You Are the Protagonist: You can create your own character, and for the first time, we will be the main protagonists. This shakes up the series’ non-centric formula, without neglecting the characters’ stories.
- Rebuild Your Town: With a base-building component where we can rebuild our hometown, Wishvale. We can not only place and customize the town but also invite new residents.
- Characters: Featuring a cast of over 30 travelers and an active party of 8 characters. With new job classes and a new skill system. You can pass skills from one character to another.
With a first showcase of characters: Stia (Architect and childhood friend), Phenn (Hunter and sentinel), and Laurana (Cleric and deaconess).
