Space Marine 2 Patch 10 Anniversary Update Out Now, Adds New Modes, Weapons, and More
Saber Interactive has released the highly anticipated anniversary update, Patch 10, for Space Marine 2, which introduces new game modes, weapons, Champion skins, and lots more content to the third-person action game.
Space Marine 2 celebrates its first anniversary on September 9, and to celebrate, developer Saber Interactive has dropped Patch 10.
Patch 10 has rolled out across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and introduces fresh content, including new enemies, a new PvE mode, a new PvP arena, and lots of new customization options.
What’s New in Patch 10
The anniversary update adds the new “Stratagems” PvE mode, which offers daily and weekly challenges that players can complete to earn the new “Accolades” currency. For PvP, Space Marines can dive into the “Bridge,” a new map set on Avarax.
Patch 10 also includes a new Majoris enemy, the Pyreblaster, Pyrecannon, and Power Axe weapons, and a new PvE Operation, called “Vortex.” There are also new Champion skins, quality-of-life improvements, and new customization options.
Gameplay Enhancements and Features
While in the new Strategems game mode or Vortex Operation, players will have access to three all-new weapons and new weapon variants, which can be equipped with new customization options as players are granted more ways to personalize their loadouts.
Saber has made balance changes to combat to make it more fluid and challenging. Bolt Pistols now deal more headshot damage, while spread and recoil reduction have all increased. Meanwhile, melee has been buffed slightly, as the Chainsword and Power Sword have had their block speed increased.
Sniper, Assault, and Bulwark have had their abilities tweaked. The Sniper cloak ability has a new cooldown of 35 seconds, Assault has had its preparation time reduced for Chainsword, Power Fist, and Power Axe, and Bulwark can now be knocked out of shield stance when taking a lot of damage within five seconds.
