PlayStation’s June 2025 State of Play delivered huge reveals, surprise comebacks, and new release dates. Here’s everything shown and announced.
What an incredible evening of announcements! June’s PlayStation State of Play delivered an absolute storm of exciting updates, long-awaited reveals, and incredible surprises. From long-dormant titles making their return to fresh demos and long-anticipated release dates, this showcase did not disappoint.
There’s a lot to unpack, so here’s a full recap of everything revealed during this explosive mid-year presentation.
June 2025 PlayStation State of Play Recap
There was so much news, it’s honestly hard to know where to begin so let’s just get into it.
The biggest shock of the night, for many, was the return of Pragmata. After years of silence and growing doubt about its future, Capcom finally brought it back to the spotlight. The game was reintroduced with a new trailer and a fresh 2026 release window. For a title that was first announced back in 2020, getting a new update now in 2025 feels surreal, and the fact that it’s back on the schedule makes the long wait feel worthwhile.
Another major reveal was Nioh 3, a game that somehow stayed completely under wraps until now. Not only is it real and targeting a 2026 launch too (like many shown in the event), but a public demo is already live and available exclusively for PlayStation 5 users.
The showcase also included several release date confirmations. Among them were Digimon Story: Time Stranger, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, and Tides of Tomorrow. Each title came with its own new trailer.
Also included was a nice surprise for longtime Playstation users, the Classics Catalog also got a boost. More beloved titles are now part of the service including Deus Ex, Twisted Metal 3 & 4, Resident Evil 2 & 3, and Myst et Riven.
