In a recent livestream, the franchise’s creator and director, Tetsuya Nomura, revealed that Square Enix is “making a lot of progress with the game.” Translated by aitaikimochi on X, he asked fans to “please wait.”

Kingdom Hearts 4 – What We Know So Far
First announced on April 10, 2022, Square Enix has revealed very little, despite a rumor in May 2025 that Kingdom Hearts 4 could launch sometime this year. Set in the expansive city of Quadratum, the game follows the returning Sora in what Square Enix has previously described as “the beginning of the end” of the current story.
Speaking in the same interview, Nomura reassured fans that KH4 was still in development, revealing that the developers were “making great strides and going according to schedule. So please wait for more information on that!”
