VALORBORN is a medieval game where you can play as pretty much whoever you like: a hero, a mercenary, a thief, an opportunist... an open-world game in early access that puts the spotlight on exploration – and therefore, on freedom! The world promises to be vibrant: plenty of events, NPCs going about their business... it’s quite appealing, and immersion seems to be a key objective, which I really like.
The "no fake doors" approach in Valorborn is an ambitious promise, and seeing a medieval sandbox where every single building is fully enterable could really change how exploration feels. With its Early Access launch just a week away, it’ll be interesting to see if the living AI routines actually make the world feel as dynamic as the developers claim.
I'm looking forward to it because the whole open‑world fantasy concept sounds really promising.
Valorborn will never avoid being called ‘medieval Kenshi’ but it is what it is and it does not hide it. Those who love Kenshi will be at home playing this one, same game but in a medieval world and all the corresponding buildings and equipment. Also there are fantasy creatures to the game having more options to expand. An ambitious game in which you can do whatever you want, if you manage to survive to do it, recruit companions, make missions, steal, trade goods, attack bandits, pure sandbox
