Planet of Lana II takes place a few years after the first game and this adventure also revolves around Lana and Mui with similar mechanics but also some increased puzzle complexity to spice it up. Like in the first game, the strongest aspect in my opinion is definitely the visuals, the hand-painted art style really gives this game a unique look, even if the overall gameplay doesn't seem to have changed much.
Planet of Lana 2 is another beautiful story, both artistically and story wise, about Lana’s struggle with mechanical invaders that are taking over her planet. But while doing it she will explore and will discover the past of her own planet and many secrets that may change her vision of what to do. This kind of games are a pure pleasure to play as you just have to explore, solve puzzles and try not to die for you jumping mistakes, but not frenzy action or enemies so a game for everybody
Planet of Lana 2 feels like it’s aiming to build on what worked in the first game: deeper puzzles, a stronger focus on Lana and her bond with Mui, and new environments to explore, but most of the chatter I’ve seen is just cautious curiosity about whether those bigger ideas and new mechanics will actually come together when it finally arrives in 2026 rather than an all‑out excited reaction.
A platform and a puzzle game, and an ode to daydreaming. That's what Planet of Lana inspires in me. Plus, I love cats... We are promised a character with improved mobility, puzzles with increasingly necessary interactions between the two protagonists (do cats obey?), fast-paced action sequences, but also phases where stealth is required. All this set among mountains, forests, ruins... artistically, it looks even better than the first game. One to watch closely.
The emotional story gets the continuation in upcoming Planet of Lana 2. Set after the events of the 1st game, this platformers comes with new locations to explore, a lot more puzzles and a captivating story. I'm already amazed by its setting, and taking in cosideration the success of previous entry, I have no doubt it will be excellent.
