From the creators of Battle Brothers. A turn-based tactical game set in a militarized universe where humans beat up... aliens. No, it's not XCOM! This game requires long-term strategic thinking, with planning, persistent losses, and enemies with variable abilities and movesets. Now we'll have to see how the combat actually plays out, and if the story is interesting, but as a fan of XCOM, Wasteland, and the like, I'm intrigued.
Menace brings the XCom gameplay to a heavily militarized setting, with marines, tanks, all kinds of weaponry and even mechas but keeping the turn based fights. Graphically it looks excellent with cool unit designs and also cool destruction animations, but what really matters is the depth in the squad tactics and in that aspect the game is awesome and the enemies are smart, so you’ll have to use all your wits to win. An absolute gem of a strategy game.
