Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is yet another Marvel fighting game, featuring 20 fighters to start with. It’s a 4-on-4 game, and that’s probably its biggest selling point. A PSN connection is required, which generally won’t go over well… But the developers have really delivered on the artistic and visual front, with a colorful and polished anime style. The animations are also very convincing. On the technical side, the game is accessible but still offers depth.
There are never enough Marvel fighting games to play so here we get Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, a 4 vs 4 one where we can choose from 20 Marvel heroes, this time rendered with an anime look. So the fun comes from trying combos and synergies with the characters and of course then using them in online PvP. So nothing especially original here but a great addition to fighting games fans collection.
