one of the most influential games in history, which to this day its community keeps alive, I highly recommend the entire saga.
The original HalfLife was groundbreaking. This sequel could not do the same - simply because HalfLife had already done it :) Nevertheless, HalfLife2 is a GREAT sequel, with improvements in almost all areas of the game. Grafics, AI, Story, Phyics - HalfLife2 is an amazing game and even though it is OLD by now, it is absolutely worth it. If you are not spoiled by ultra-realistic lifelike grafics that need the latest card, or you just have an older PC and cannot afford a super expensive card: Absolutely give this game a go.
Well replaying HL2 in 2017 is still quite an experience. And I guess I don't have to introduce this game to anyone. But I'll go against the grain and say that this is not the best game ever HOWEVER I think this is the most influental one. Not just gameplay wise but technically (engine + graphics) too. And especially technically.

This game still has one of the best atmospheres I've ever seen.
